A celebration of GUY MARTIN's life

“We share the sad news on behalf of the family of the late Guy Michael Martin.

Guy, of Cotterdale, passed away peacefully on 30th July surrounded by his family in the knowledge that he was truly loved and cherished.

Beloved husband of Irene, adored father, father in law and PopPops to Roxanna, Jez, James, Belynda, Jemima, Max, Alfie and Arlo. Treasured brother to Susie and uncle to his wonderful nephews and nieces. Valued friend to so many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. The funeral service to celebrate his life will take place at Beetham Hall Crematorium on Wednesday 19th August,2026 at 12.30pm. Light refreshments will take place after the service at the Crooklands Hotel.

Smart dress with a splash of colour! He was after all, “larger than life”.

I will never forget the time I was staying with Guy and Irene and Guy offered to take me for a ride on his motorbike. Having never been on a motorbike, it was an amazing experience, as we journeyed towards the Welsh borders. And I have lots of other memories of this wonderful man, so much loved by his family.
